SDC 226

OMG! I'm blogging!!! Whoop Whoop! Yay! etc....

Wanders will never cease, so how are you all? Merry Christmas...Happy New New Year and all that jazz, hope everyone had an amazing time and if not hope you just survived!!

I'll do a separate post... maybe even this week for a catch up (not promising tho LOL)  but for now I'll submit this card I made for my brothers birthday to the Stampotique Designers Challenge, which is trees this time round.

Now my Stampotique collection is growing and I had a few lovely new men in my life for Christmas as I always struggle with mens cards (aren't they just awkward?). However the only Stampotique tree stamp I have is a Christmas one. So I thought I would initially use this in the background and have one of my new beaus as the feature but as usual I start with a plan and it evolves.

Righty tighty...I created a background using said tree stamp on beautiful PaperArtsy paper with fresco paints, stencils and stamps, but it seemed a little harsh so on half (just in case I didn't like it) i toned it down by over stamping with a text stamp which still didn't quite do it so I brayered a light covering of limelight fresco paint over the top and that worked, here are the two different backgrounds.

Finishing off with the tree also as a feature and a couple of doggy friends (my brother has two small Shih Tzu dogs!).

So there you have it! Blog Land I have arrived in 2016!

Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you fancy!

Happy craftin
Rebecca
